Owen Jones and René Marois

Owen Jones is a Professor of Law and Biological Sciences at Vanderbilt University Law School. His current research is focused on law and behavioral biology, law and neuroscience and evolutionary analysis in law. He uses brain imaging (fMRI), primatology, and behavioral economics to understand how the brain's varied operations affect behaviors relevant to law. Jones is the Director and former President of the Society for Evolutionary Analysis in Law (S.E.A.L) and has written several dozen articles and book chapters.

René Marois is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the Department of Neuroscience, Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University. His research is focused on the neural basis of attention in the human brain using fMRI and psychophisical tools. He is particularly interested in understanding attential capacity limits and the nature of the relationship between attention and awareness.
